The Soul

What is it that makes us who we are?  The very nature of our being summed up into one word. The soul as it is known in some beliefs is a good place to start.  The inner consciousness of our being that will transcend our bodies as we know them.  It is the very essence of who we are.

Every day of our lives we go about our routines that comprise how we live. A summary of how we live in a nutshell: we groom, we eat, we work, we consume, we fornicate, we procreate, and we sleep.

The philosophers who try to find an explanation to our souls have many times through history, made mention of the fact that the soul is measured.  Our actions determine the weight our souls carry. In other words are we good, or are we bad?

Such little things have such a major impact on whether we are good or not. It isn’t as simple as just be nice and you will be a good person, it isn’t as easy as staying out of trouble.  The reason is because doing nothing is just as negative in some cases. For example consider an individual who sees another person in trouble but does not help them. This individual did nothing wrong but they did not do anything to help. That could be considered bad. On the other hand you could have a group of criminals that are trying to commit a robbery. One of the criminals may have remorse and so when he sees the police coming, he does not alert his accomplices and they get caught. That could be considered good.

The complexity of theories that could determine how our souls are weighted for judgement is so vast. We have no real way of knowing for sure how to ensure that we are doing the right thing. All we can do is be the best person we can be and hope for the best.

So if you believe in the soul, every move you make can have a very fruitful or very detrimental effect on how you are judged.  The pressure could be a lot if you worry about it too much.  Personally I like the idea of just being the best you can be. Just keep in mind that the road to hell was paved with good intentions. It is yet one more thing to confuse us all.

How do you think our actions affect us in the next life? How do you think our souls are judged?  Tweet me @Vijayp1982 or comment below.

Can Demons do some good?

In some religious beliefs, the Demon was once an Angel in Heaven. These Angels sided with Lucifer and refused to bend the knee to humanity. Lucifer’s belief was that the Angels were above humans. He refused to be a servant and was cast to the pits of hell along with his followers.
Being that such an entity as the celestial Angel is a being of light, even though rebellion had Lucifer and his legions cast down, does this mean they still have the ability to reclaim this light?

Demons have lived through a millennium of perversions and distortions; but they were still beings of light at one point. The light is not just any light; it is a light of Heaven. If there was ever a power that could not be extinguished, a person of this faith would have to believe that the light of Heaven was incorruptible.

Looking to other cultures, there are many versions of the same being portrayed in numerous ways.  The Kappa of Japan, for example is a Demon. Japanese culture is of interest because warrior symbols portray such creatures as Demons of protection.  The Demons existence had a specific purpose. To the Japanese the Demon is not just to corrupt and cause harm to humanity, they serve to keep the Samurai safe during battle.

To the contrary, the Hindu faith has multiple deities. One of these deities is Kali, God of Death. Kali is depicted with multiple arms bearing swords. The face is animalistic with fanged teeth and wide eyes and the eyes have an apparently serpent like distinction.  Kali does not look like a protector or creator, but a Demon.  However, Kali is worshiped as a God.

Depending which culture you look at, you may see Demons with God like power, Gods with Demon like power, or you may find them totally distinct and separate.

With consideration to all beliefs, do you think a Demon is capable of being good? In addition, if you think a Demon is capable of being good, could a Demon earn its way back to Heaven?

Spirit Attachment

One risk of entering a location known for spirit activity is that a spirit can attach itself to a person. They do have the potential ability to follow you.  It is a risk involved with Ghost Investigators due to the amount of time they spend in active locations, but that could just as easily be a passing by couple who entered such a place.
It is a scary thought in many ways, to think that a paranormal being could just randomly select you and then come into your home.  However, let’s look at this from a more reasonable perspective than to just think that they do as they choose.

If you pay attention to all paranormal TV shows. The common element is that there is an interaction between the person and the entity.  First of all they must open a communication. If you never open a communication, you can not have an attachment. The entities only have the power you give them.  This also means that if they rely on you for that energy, you have full control. What this means is that if you do not want them around, you can tell them to leave.

This is important because there is a popular misconception that they follow and do not leave without professionals coming in to get rid of them. This leaves a big opening for frauds.  The truth is every person has a personal level of control that they can make it possible to never have an attachment. Exercising this control can come in many forms. Some show it by way of faith in a religion, others in personal objects of security, and some have combinations of rituals that they perform. There are many ways to prevent it, but it all comes down to what empowers you to feel in control.

My wife is a believer in the paranormal. She also has a very definite rule that I can do what ever investigations I want, but nothing paranormal is EVER permitted to enter our home. I very much agree with her that I don’t want my work following me home. This is no different than a person who works in an office. When the work day is over, they want to clock out and go home. They don’t want to have homework to do when they get to their house.  I have no issue ensuring that nothing will ever enter our home because I know that I will never accept or allow anything to do so. It is my belief in my own ability to control where the communication stops that gives me my control.

Always remember that the control is yours. If you do not want something clinging to you, make it clear.  Tell whatever it is that you are done with your communication and it is not welcome to follow you.  The power is always yours.

The Truth

It is an old maxim of mine that when you have excluded the impossible, whatever remains, however improbable, must be the truth.

-Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s Sherlock Holmes-

The truth behind the paranormal; knowing the truth is the biggest and most important reason why I follow the research as I do.  I have a passion for finding an explanation to the unexplained. The world is so full of these wonders that we do not need to create them and pass them as truth. The truth is already out there. The truth is intriguing, exciting, terrifying, dangerous, and it is safe. It is everything and more.

We all know that the truth of the paranormal can harm us but it can also protect us. I believe in the mysteries of the world and know that they are the true adventure that we all look for in one way or another.  Now readers out there may be wondering about why I am saying such things in this writing. I follow the belief that the truth can be proven and needs no embellishment. I want to eliminate the impossible. Then I can see and show that what remains, no matter how off the wall, must be the truth just as the above quote says.

Many stories out there tell of the tale of the isolated tragedy about insanity, depression, murder etc. They tell of such stories where no one is around and this terrible series of events takes place. The events are detailed by the writer of the story. They go into very extensive descriptions. The mother, who goes insane, kills her children, kills herself, and this happened just after she took time to put on her wedding dress. Their bodies were discovered days later. The wails she screamed out after killing her children are still heard in the area today.

How did they know she wailed? How did she know she was insane? If they were alone and were not discovered for days, who was there to detail the events?  So many stories exist and they have no true origin.  Myths and legends have to start somewhere. They have to have an origin. The problem is that many writers of “true events” neglect to tell people why it is true.

There is a history behind it all; there is truth that wants to be revealed. We don’t need to fabricate true events if it is in fact true.  Let us remember that in our search for the truth behind paranormal activity, to keep a healthy dose of skepticism to make sure our feet stay on the ground. The wonders of the world will intrigue us as much as we want if we allow them to give us a chance.

Let me know what you think about the stories that are told today. Tell me if you have an understanding as to why they would be exaggerated. Perhaps it is because people just want them to be noticed.  Maybe it is someone who wants to believe so much in the magic that could happen that they don’t want to wait to experience it.

Poltergeist

How many of you out there have seen the famous movie? If you have heard the phrase “They’re Heeeeerrreee,” you have just heard a quote from the movie Poltergeist. Contrary to popular belief, a poltergeist is not actually spiritual in nature.  What you hear about them in many cases is correct. The moving objects around the room with bangs and crashes. This is why they are called poltergeist. The name is actually German and it translates to noisy ghost.
However, this is actually a misleading statement. A poltergeist is not a ghost at all. The phenomenon of a poltergeist is actually the manifestation of human telekinetic ability. This origin is primarily from adolescent girls going through a strong or traumatic emotional state. It can also be young boys, but the research has shown that the majority of the time it is caused by young women. The activity that occurs is completely subconscious. The person that causes the activity is generally not even aware that they are causing it.
This display of telekinesis is most definitely a testament to the human minds power. Poltergeist activity can be extreme. Not just moving objects and sounds, but the disruption of an entire household. The activity would include such things as doors slamming and books flying off of shelves etc. People have been known to be thrown down or even across a room. The activity has the ability to be extremely powerful and extremely dangerous.

It is amazing to hear some tales of poltergeist activity from witnesses who have experienced it. What is more amazing is the fact that this immense mental display of power is occurring through the subconscious mind of a child.
If the untrained innocent mind of a child is capable of such power and ability, imagine what it would mean for the mature adult who understands the ability they possess. As human beings, as much as we train and strengthen our bodies ultimately we are still quite frail. The telekinetic ability that our subconscious minds are capable shows that we can be much more.

The fact that we are capable of such ability is both an inspiring and terrifying thought. With such ability at our finger tips every one of us is capable of wonderful things, but the other side of the coin is that we are also capable of terrible things. We haven’t begun to tap into the essence of what we are capable of. Saying that our young and inexperienced are capable of such a destructive power with no awareness of it just goes to show that we are not ready to understand what we can really do.
Though the poltergeist phenomenon is not spirit activity it is very much of a paranormal nature as it breaks the confines of what we know to be “normal.”

What do you think about untapped abilities within the human mind? Tweet me @Vijayp1982 or comment below. I would love to hear your thoughts.

Emotions for Activity

Supernatural energies are always among us and they can be created through numerous different methods. Some of the methods we are aware of and some we don’t even know about.  One theory of people drawing spiritual energies to themselves that I would like to discuss is negative emotions.  It seems that provocation can draw increased levels of spirit activity. Well known hunters as the Ghost Adventures crew have made their career by way of provocation methods. Zak Baggins, Nick Groff, and Aaron Goodwin go forth and call them out risking attachments from other worldly beings and potential harm.
This method from what we see on their show is a definite indicator that negative emotion can draw energy. What I wish to discuss about using this method is whether or not using negative emotion can lead to more than harm or attachment.  Seeing that this method draws entities in, are they specifically negative energies and entities? Is it that you will only get bad things from bad behaviour? Is there a possibility that negative emotion just gives more energy for a spirit to draw on? Maybe the good ones can also use this negativity because it could be a much easier energy for them to use?
This is of interest to me because I have yet to see from any show recording the same amount of activity from asking nicely as they get from negative behaviour. What is it about the negative side of an emotion that gives non living entities more power to manifest themselves?

From my own experiences I have seen that another major emotion which also sides on the negative is sadness. For example the loss of a loved one can be a huge catalyst in drawing spirit activity. Gatherings of people at a wake can greatly increase the effect of a spirit manifestation due to the fact that you have a large number of people together all with the same emotional focus.
I do not want you to misunderstand me though. I do not mean to imply that only negative emotion can draw activity. I am not saying that you have to be jerk to have anything manifest. I very much do believe that positive emotion can also be a catalyst for activity. Positive emotions can also be used for negative entities to draw from. An example of this is the innocence of a child with what we think is an imaginary friend but is actually a negative entity trying to use the child to do what it came to do. A child is innocent and feels that friendship is what they are gaining, but this positive feeling could be manipulated and cause a darker energy to gain more power. This would show that even positive emotions can have a negative effect.

Ultimately I believe that emotions can be very important both bringing forth and deterring activity. I know that they can cause activity to happen, but I also believe that one’s own emotions can empower them to combat manipulative and dark energies that may do harm to others.  Emotions are a strong tool.  They can cause us trouble, but they also can protect us.
